RIVIR has entered a formal MOU agreement with DC °®¶¹´«Ã½t, a world leader in steep terrain forestry automation. Together, we’re working to integrate RIVIR’s satellite IoT gateways into DC °®¶¹´«Ã½t’s globally recognised machinery, enabling real-time monitoring over Starlink’s new Direct to Cellular satellite network.
Currently, DC °®¶¹´«Ã½t manufactures under the Falcon brand in New Zealand and the legendary Madill brand in North America. Known globally for innovation in steep terrain forestry automation, DC °®¶¹´«Ã½t is now taking the next step by exploring how satellite IoT can deliver real-time connectivity for its machinery in some of the toughest operating environments on earth.
This collaboration will see RIVIR’s gateways installed on large-scale, high-value forestry machines, supporting operations in remote and challenging conditions worldwide. By harnessing satellite connectivity, DC °®¶¹´«Ã½t and RIVIR aim to unlock new opportunities in safety, efficiency, and performance for the forestry sector.
RIVIR has acknowledged the role of Donna Henderson and their engineering team in building a strong working relationship with DC °®¶¹´«Ã½t to make this partnership possible.
This agreement reflects a shared vision for the future of forestry automation and satellite IoT, where machines can:
Stay connected far beyond traditional network coverage
Deliver critical data where it’s needed most
Operate smarter, safer, and more efficiently in remote environments
DC °®¶¹´«Ã½t is proud to collaborate with RIVIR on this groundbreaking project and looks forward to showcasing how satellite-connected forestry machinery can transform operations worldwide.
Stay tuned for more details in the coming months...
